Mark Malibu & The Wasagas - Knock Me Out CD (Sharawaji) 

What a stunning album this is, with songs varying from early 60’s sound of The Lively Ones and The Astronauts, to more modern, garage rock/surf, with a little bit of Shadows added with the song “Love In Liverpool”. Led by Mark Sanders (aka Mark Malibu) on lead guitar and songwriting, the songs show an ear for the past, with an emphasis on strong melodies. Each song also serves as a showcase for his impressive guitar abilities - these aren’t simple songs that anyone could bang out. The cover art is fun as well, with an illustration of two Archie and Veronica like characters, with Veronica punching out Archie, with each of them wearing the Wasagas trademark black and red striped tops.
