Martin Cilia - Shadowman CD (Bombora) 

Martin Cilia grew up in the UK in the 60’s, and while watching TV saw The Shadows perform on several occasions - the screen was small, the images black & white and the sound was likely not in stereo, but what he saw made a lasting impression. Over the years he’s amassed quite a catalog of releases, with the reunited Atlantics, as well as equally impressive solo albums. The latest is a tribute to The Shadows, but instead of just recording a whole album of Shadows classics, he’s included just a few, and added his own songs most-inspired by the legendary UK guitar instrumental combo. Overall there’s 16 songs - with such quality throughout there’s no doubt this will be one of the top releases of 2019!
