Twang Inspectors - Surf Ride To Ihy CD (Surf Cookie)

This new Dutch four-piece has a sound that seemingly comes from years of work, honing their craft to near-perfection. While I can’t find much information about them online, I would have to assume that this isn’t their first band, and that they have brought years of playing, practice and experience into this project. The sound is pretty pure surf rock - lots of reverb, the vibe of the sea and drums that seem inspired by the rhythms of Polynesia. The Egyptian influenced cover art might seem kind of random, but it’s tied in with the final, and perhaps best song of the album (an “ihy” is a traditional Egyptian musical instrument).
