The Surf Kings - Blue Pacific CD

Item Detail:

The Surf Kings - Blue Pacific CD (Self-Released)

Based on the shores of California between LA and San Diego, The Surf Kings are one of the longest running surf bands going today. Over 25 years they’ve played numerous shows all over, and have now released their third album of original material. Likely using their backyard as inspiration, Blue Pacific is a disc containing 13 songs of modern surf, showcasing the twangy guitar of leader Tom Stanton. When they veer away from surf, they seek inspiration from spy flicks (most notably on “I Spy”, which adds some really tasty saxophone work), Dick Dale (“The Beast” almost sounds like it could have come from a latter day Dick Dale album, and the title seemingly references Dale’s famed guitar), and Tex-Mex melodies on the song “Los Olas Grandes”.

Tracks: Blue Pacific - The Crawl - I Spy - Take No Prisoners - Eddie Would Go - The Beast - Jump Start - Hot Sauce - Los Olas Grandes - Release The Kraken - Forces Of Victory - The Deep
