The Neptunas - Mermaid A Go-Go LP (Altered State Of Reverb) (Sea Glass Blue Vinyl)

After a long hiatus, The Neptunas got back together in 2017 for a big music festival in Mexico. With renewed enthusiasm, the teamed up with the legendary Daddy-O-Grande (who produced the album, as well as contributing guitars, keyboards and sound effects)) from Los Straitjackets to produce this 15 song album. It's a mix of surf instrumentals, and surf/punk/go-go influenced vocals - mostly originals, but they also pick a few great tunes to cover ("Til The End Of The Day", "Poupee de Cire, Poupee de Son", "School Is A Drag" and "The Lonely Bull"). Appropriately, the even included a mariachi horn section during the recording sessions.
