The Frogenstein - Surf Clusters CD (Surf Cookie)

Based in France, this relatively new surf combo goes for a driving, guitar heavy modern surf sound seemingly influenced primarily by Dick Dale’s last couple of albums. There are lots of faster, garage/punk tunes, as well as some slower, more diverse songs - “Ninja Cat” is a nice spy-fi tune, but I especially enjoyed the dark and brooding “Dawn Of Cthulhu” which closes out the record.
