The Breakers - Torch Light CD (Sharawaji)
The Breakers are definitely one of the most prolific instrumental rock bands of the last few years - they’ve released a bunch of singles, an EP and several full-length releases. On their latest album, they have powered through the trials and tribulations of the pandemic and recorded 18 songs, with well-crafted originals as well as a spot-on take on the Gordon Lightfoot classic “Wreck Of The Edmund Fitzgerals”, capturing the haunting melodies as an instrumental perfectly. Overall the band delivers a modern sound - capturing great performances from all of the members, crystal clear production and interesting instrumentation and effects to give the album a varied sound that never gets boring. Yet another fun, diverse release from this group from Chicago.
