Surf Monster - Surf Monster CD (Sharawaji)

This is the debut release from this San Francisco surf trio, containing 12 original compositions and tucked into a striking package featuring a cool Frankenstein illustration in all of his green, glowing glory. Musically, the band attacks the listener with twangy guitars, bass and drums, while adding theremin, sax, and a few vocal ooohs and aaahs here and there. The songs are driving and powerful, veering towards a modern surf sound. It’s influenced by punk rock quite a bit, but there are nods to traditional surf and spaghetti western atmospheres as well. This is a CD-R, but has a professionally printed CD jacket and professional printing on the CD surface.
