North Melbourne Surf Club - North Melbourne Surf Club CD (Surfersaurus) 

Named with tongue firmly in cheek for a fictional surf club nowhere near an actual beach in their native Australia, this “supergroup” features guitarist Martin Cilia (The Atlantics and solo artist) with members of Mental As Anything, Little River Band, Avalanche and Bootleg Family. They all came together for a three day recording session, the goal being to come up with an album of energetic, tonally rich, modern sounding rock instrumentals. These are twangy, compelling, melodic and powerful tunes that you’ll keep coming back to over and over again. For those itchin’ for that great Atlantics sound and vibe, you get it here with the standout song “Gatecrasher”. It’s absolutely amazing - well worth the price of the disc alone. Definitely one of the top releases of 2020!
