Low Doses - Weekend Warrior / One More Try 7" (Pink Vinyl) (Hidden Volume)

Coming from the crossroads of NY and NJ is the heart-skipping pop of Low Doses! A three-piece sprung from the mind of song-writer Ryan Masterson, Low Doses is pure pop for pop people. The A-Side merges a relentless martial beat to chiming guitars and the summer-sun harmonies of Masterson and bassist Christina Caira (also of Quitty & The Don’ts). Flipping it over you’ll find “One More Try”—a hard-hitting, compact, late-70s skinny tie anthem distilled down to a smidge over two minutes. Both tracks are simultaneously biting and sweet with plenty of guitar and ear-worm melodies to go around. Limited edition - 150 on bubblegum pink vinyl.

Low Doses @ 2017 Hampdenfest (10:46)
Low Doses' "kinda poppy, kinda sloppy" punk-pop was high on energy at the September 9, 2017 Hampdenfest. Apparently this garage-rock trio hails from the New York/Jersey City area. The guitarist wore a Paul Weller flak jacket and sang like Billy Childish (which is a good thing), the long-legged bass player wore heels and hot pants and provided "Emma Peel" (if ya catch my drift, fellers, and I think ya do), and the beatbox drummer played a record spindle drumkit that looked suspiciously like it might belong to someone in The Jennifers. Or The Stents. Or a half dozen other bands. (OK, it was Skizz Cyzyk's well-traveled drumkit-about-town!)
