The Razorblades, from Wiesbaden, Germany, will be in Bellingham, WA this Sunday, July 31st at the Shakedown at 9:00pm. This is a rare chance to see one of the best surf rock bands in the world play in Bellingham. They have released several acclaimed CD’s and 7″s, and have toured all over the world. Opening the show are local faves the Sweaty Sweaters.

In a town starved for surf music (with the exception of The All-Nighters, which are an excellent instrumental/surf rock band that we’re extremely lucky to have), it’s rare when the King Of The Surf Guitar comes to town. It’s nearly 24 hours after the Sadies/Black Mountain show at the Wild Buffalo, and my ears are still ringing! I was a little worried that I wouldn’t get in – I never got around to picking up an advance ticket, and I had a indoor soccer game to play until 10pm, so I didn’t get there until a quarter after.
