This is a great new European instrumental band that throw lots of different styles into the mix. The lead track alone has a Madchester style baggie bass/drum rhythm, Davie Allan style fuzz, and James Bond melodies over the top. It reminded me quite a bit of Fifty Foot Combo and The Mutants, two great Euro instro bands that blended a bunch of styles and sounds together to create something altogether new and exciting.

Although Hannes has played 50's style rockabilly music in Berlin, Germany for almost 30 years, his first CD with his name as “Hannes & the Blue Vinyl Freaks”, was released by Swiss label TCY Records, in April 2008.
