Thought I'd post my review of this amazing album here, hope it's allowed.

My English is too limited, really, to describe the awesomeness of it.

It is very moving, an emotional rollercoaster. It ends too soon, but leaves just the right impact. Very mature musicianship, you can tell the band has been around, yet innovative and exciting. Bold may I say.
Just genius.
Will take a lot of listens to digest it, this is serious work.

Ivan (lead) plays so many notes :-) but all of them are the right ones. He reached the point where chops, style and expressiveness are all united to convey the message.
It's musically packed, not a boring moment, so many melodic and rhythmic ideas in such a short time.
Really really moving and passionate too, makes you wanna dance and cry and howl and start fires (and surf?).

This top Surf act reaches new heights.
The rest of the band of course, do their part magnificently, as well as the (again) bold and punchy production. It hits you in the gut, love it.
Love the Baritone, the jungle drums, the theme, the way it evolves to the climax.
It really translates as a voyage through the jungle, and expedition to unknown mysterious tribes. Who needs lyrics?! It ignites your imagination in such a way, that feels like an adventure movie.

All the songs are amazing by their own, each conveying a "scene", with it's own atmosphere and instrumentation, done with great care for detail and emotional impact. Leading to the climax -
Those Chunka dripping bars in "The Ritual" just hit the skull, what a sound! After those piercing, emotional solos, it's a steady hypnotic trance of high energy Reverb. Like, "what you feel doesn't matter now boy, you've done your personal passage, it's RITUAL time now".

After listening to this album, one needs at least 1 hour of complete silence, It's a sensory overload...
Can you play something after Beethoven's 9th? No! you need to meditate a bit...

This album deserves to sell a lot and hopefully reach new crowds,
as it is the best rock music in the world at the moment.

I'm a semi-pro musician and "retro" DJ and have been for the past 25 years. For best sound it's clean vinyl through tube gear, but practicality means it's often solid state gear for DJ-ing. I spin vinyl when I can, but a lot of music is unobtainable or hard to find on vinyl. Modern CDs often sound great when not mastered too loud and the portability is nice... older CDs often sound terrible. MP3 and such just sounds awful to me, harsh and irritating. Nowadays for me it's CDs and thrift store vinyl. I've been scared off modern vinyl because a LOT of recent purchases (including many from well-known reissue labels) have been warped. If the companies don't care about quality I'm not gonna buy it! Why brag about great new mono mastering when the tone arm looks like a tilt-a-whirl? Shucks.

Most of my purchases have been from Double Crown over the last 10 years or so with some other "mail merchants". Rarely (Very) do I get anything from a retail store anymore. I was a "professional broadcaster" for 34 years & have seen formats come & go. My first choice these days are 1) CD's (versatility) 2)Vinyl (sounds the best IMO). I have no MP3's anywhere. You Tube * www.surfguitar101.com is also very handy.

Love vinyl--especially when it comes with a digital download--I do like my iPod. But CDs are nearly as great, especially with a nice booklet. Buying an MP3 is like buying nothing. The only time I do it is when I'm forced which isn't often.

My first choice is vinyl with an mp3 download coupon (hopefully 320k+ bitrate). Second is CD. If vinyl doesnt have download, I will probably buy CD over Vinyl. Third is download from iTunes or BandCamp.

I will admit that at least 50% of my purchased CD's over the past 4-5 years have been from Double Crown. The rest have been from band I've followed for many years. I'm an extremely happy subscriber to MOG (which has a lot of your releases so I hope you get a few pennies from that).

I'm an old geezer, and my preference is physical media, preferably on CD's. I do not like the sound of MP3's, and rarely purchase downloads. When I do, I prefer FLAC files. I do not use file sharing sites. I like the warmth of vinyl, but the convenience of CD's makes them preferable for me.
