Threesome is a new Serbian combo that delivers the sound of explosive surf punk that doesn’t care much about time or place. The three members of the band have been involved with the indie music scene for several years.

Double Crown will be represented at the upcoming Las Vegas Shakedown fest by at least two bands, The Untamed Youth and The Volcanics. The lineup also includes a bunch of great rockabilly, garage rock and punk bands, and it is all taking place in downtown Las Vegas, on Fremont Street. For some reason they haven’t updated their regular website, so the best place to get the scoop on the lineup, and purchasing tickets, is on their Facebook page.

The big annual Surf Guitar 101 festival is this weekend (co-sponsored by Double Crown Records). Bands from all over the world are gathering in Southern California for a series of shows, culminating in the big event on Saturday, August 13th. The Razorblades, from Wiesbaden, Germany, will be in Bellingham, WA this Sunday, July 31st at the Shakedown at 9:00pm. This is a rare chance to see one of the best surf rock bands in the world play in Bellingham. They have released several acclaimed CD’s and 7″s, and have toured all over the world. Opening the show are local faves the Sweaty Sweaters.

The Surfites have a brand new 7″ out now, featuring two brand new recordings. This is the third release in our jukebox singles series, and this one might just be the best yet.
