Land Of The Lost TV Show – “Dopey”

My family has been working our way through the original Land Of The Lost TV series. I watched it as a kid, and even had a chance to visit the short-lived Sid & Marty Kroft World in Atlanta when it first opened. It’s been cool watching them with my kids, although some of the talk about pylons and time portals goes over their heads. We’ve become fixated on this ridiculously cute Brontosaurus called “Dopey”. Old Playground Rocket Photographs

This site from Lauren Orchowski has a cool collection of old playground rocket photos. I remember one of these in a park growing up – just after I went into high school they took it away and converted the park into a more modern, safer kind that you see most often today. I remember lots of kids getting hurt on some of the stuff, even a broken wrist. Now that I have kids I do appreciate the safer playground equipment, but still, I think that the old stuff I used …
