The Kilaueas deliver reverb-drenched, Magmaphonic ™ high energy instrumental surf music from Berlin, Germany! Since 1998 they have played hundreds of great gigs, recorded 3 albums (including their 2nd CD, Mundaka Calls on Double Crown Records), contributed songs to many different compilations worldwide and played a 3 week USA West coast tour in 2006. Phil Dirt, famed surf music reviewer, said the band delivers “well developed songs with a very attractive sound, consistently performed and mixed. There’s lots here for the surf fan, particularly is you’re a sucker for the damped reverbed rhythm”. The band are currently working on songs for their next album, and contributed a brand new recording to Continental Magazine #17.
