The Penetrators

The Penetrators were one of the leading bands of the mid-90′s surf rock resurgence, delivering a great series of 7″s and albums along the way. Our very first release, back in 1997, was a 7″ by the band called Hit The Jet Stream. Double Crown released their last CD, Locked & Loaded, which is still our best-selling CD to date. Our only DVD release was also by The Penetrators – Declassified.

Guitarist Rip Thrillby was instrumental in the early days of Double Crown Records and The Continental magazine, offering advice that I continue to follow to this day, plus coming up with amazing cover art for the magazine and several of our CD and 7″ releases.

Sadly, brothers and guitarists Scott and Brian Rogers (aka Rip Thrillby and Spanky Twangler) have passed away in recent years, but their music continues to live on!
