Kamikaze Records has put together an amazing 10 band bill for a show on May 29th in Osnabruck, Germany, featuring many of the best German surf and instrumental rock n’ roll bands, including the Astronauts, Kilaueas, Razorblades, Way Out West. Wish I could be there!

From Kamikaze Records (via Google Translation):

“Kamikaze Records presents 10 of the best national surfbands in JZ Ostbunker, Oststr. 65, 49084 Osnabrück from 10 € !!!!!!

The waves beat high, when on 29 May 2010 at Ostbunker, the head of the German-assembles Surfband to jointly celebrate a tsunamisches “Krautsurf” festival. Whoever is now well-tanned young men and women on expensive surfboards and noble North Sea beaches thinks that is upside down in the undertow. Surf music was already in the 60s in California and recorded most of the movie “Pulp Fiction” known worldwide. Although many bands their songs afforded chiefly instrumental and replace the guitars while the vocals with catchy melodies, there was even then groups auftrumpften with hot vocal numbers. And true to this motto, it is said that night while “Shut Up And Dance” when celebrating 10 German instrumental band “The Night of the wild guitars. But still, there are often also a few songs sung in the program. That this is highly entertaining, danceable and very funny show bands like Hawaii 2.0, the set with her “Kammersurf” on trumpet and cello, from the masked guys from Steve & the Sideburns Rock’n'Roll soaked with her sound, the Astronauts another world, the sleek Razor Blades, the AOWI dancing on the volcano Kilauea, Pozor Vlak and their trashy sound of the jungle, the sunny Way Out West, the Swamp Monster Swamp Troopers, the three masked terrorist tone and always stockings Braindead Dogs. A wild and dance the night is coming, in which no Hawaiian shirt stays dry.”
